About Us

| |
| Mike Atherton, Dave Lintner, and Bing Kirk grew up together
as kids in Stockton, CA, attending Stagg High School and later
continuing their friendship at San Jose State University. It
was during their years as SAE fraternity brothers in 1969 that
they began to dream of adventures in far away countries. |

It was during this time that the "three Amigos"
were introduced to the coffee business as buyers, growers
and exporters.
Unfortunately their stay was cut short by the onset of a
civil war as the Sandinistas overthrew the Samoza regime.
In 1978 all three were forced to leave the country.
After the war ended, Dave returned to Nicaragua and kept
in close contact with Mike and Bing. In 1998 Dave summoned
his old friends to Nicaragua to investigate the possibility
of investing in coffee properties that had been neglected
during the war.

Mike was encouraged with post-war prospects of farming coffee
in Nicaragua and made the decision to invest. At this time
Mike, Dave and Bing own approximately 1,000 acres of land
on the slopes of Jesus Mountain and 50 acres in Jalapa.
Dave Lintner still lives in Jalapa, and oversees the coffee
growing operation while Mike and Bing live in Stockton, CA
and operate the Jesus Mountain Roasting Company.
With about 200 acres of land planted in coffee, the farm
will be producing from 400,000 to 600,000 pounds of coffee
per year in the near future.
